What league does Ashland Town FC play in?
We recently joined the CCL Pro23 summer league & we have fielded teams in CVSA in the past. We believe in the idea that club>league and while we enjoy playing in quality leagues, we are focused on building our community more than which league one of our teams will play in.
Aside from joining CCL PRO23 and having a history of playing in things like Richmond Sunday leagues, and the Amateur State Cup, we have also played exhibition matches for three consecutive summers against semi-professional teams from around the State. We have gone toe-to-toe with teams that compete in UPSL, NPSL, CCL Pro23, and USL League 2. One particularly notable opponent is Lionsbridge FC who draws thousands of fans to their matches at TowneBank Stadium on the campus of Christopher Newport University. Lionsbridge is officially one level below the Richmond Kickers in the US Soccer pyramid and our last meeting with LBFC was a 1-1 draw.

Our Home games in Summer 2024 will be at the beautiful Poor Farm Park

What age group is this for?
Our teams are assembled with the hopes of competing at the highest level possible based on local talent and sponsorship funding. In addition to our men’s team, we are also interested in forming a women’s team, youth summer teams, and tournament teams, (e.x. We would love to assemble a coed ATFC squad and an ATFC youth squad to compete at the VA Sand soccer Championships).
