Music on the boardwalk, the ocean fifty yards away, and a weekend of soccer with your friends. Beach soccer is the most fun our players have all year — and we are going back bigger in 2027.
A weekend you actually remember
Beach soccer is not a training session with sand in it. It is a tournament weekend on the oceanfront — games back to back, music going the whole time, families in beach chairs on the sideline, and the water right there when you come off the court.
Players get a full weekend with their teammates away from home, which does more for a group than a month of regular practice. The soccer is quick, loud and non-stop, and everybody plays.
And the game itself is different
Smaller teams, no walls to play off, and a surface that kills any ball hit along the ground. Players learn to strike cleanly out of the air, control it on the drop, and improvise — skills that come straight back to the grass in the autumn.
How far we take it
Youth teams and a pro division side
Ashland Town FC has entered youth teams on the sand and a side in the US Open pro division — the top end of beach soccer in this country.
That means our youngest beach players spend the weekend at the same event as the senior squad, watching the level they could reach. Not many clubs this size can say that.
2027 season
Rosters come together this winter
We start organising teams for the 2027 beach season over the winter months — age groups, rosters and the tournament schedule all get set then.
