Liam Hogan
Founder & Director — Ashland Town FC

Liam has been around soccer his whole life. He came up through Loudoun Soccer Club, captained his high school team at Battlefield High School (6A), and went on to play at Hampden-Sydney & Randolph-Macon College, earning VASID All-State & ODAC all-conference honors at HSC before transferring to RMC, playing a season on the team, then serving the program as a student assistant before graduating from R-MC as a business major. Beyond his college teams he continued playing club soccer — first with VSA u23, then Loudoun PRO23, Motorik FC, Club Atlético Los Toros, Shaka Boys Beach Soccer Club, and various other teams — even winning the USASA Amateur State Cup in 2019 before eventually channeling everything into building Ashland Town Football Club

On the work side of the game, he started young — coaching alongside instructors from Amsterdam & Rotterdam as an assistant at Dutch Soccer School over summers, running 1 on 1 lessons, and even refereeing games. He went on to launch and sell Northern Virginia United as an NPSL franchise, attended the Summit for American Soccer in Chattanooga, TN where he met amateur+professional team owner/operators from around the country, traveled to Tampa as staff with Christos FC for the USASA National Championship (which they won), and got involved early with Club Atlético Los Toros when they were still a 7v7 side. Most recently he's been working with Hatteras Island Futbol Club since their founding in 2025 and is involved in putting on the Cape Hatteras Sand Soccer Showdown & Beach Cleanup on May 1-2

Hogan founded Ashland Town FC in 2020. Our club started as a Sunday league team & now operates a youth academy with several teams - & our adult teams will be very tough to beat in about ten years.

Our Coaches
Connor Wilson
Assistant Director · U11 Head Coach
Connor Wilson
Connor holds a USSF C License and serves as Assistant Director of Ashland Town FC. Wilson is also the Head Coach for our U11 boys group. Coach Connor brings a wealth of experience as someone with experiences coaching NCAA soccer, high school soccer, and the Ashland Men's team. His organizational insight and passion for player development make him a cornerstone of the club's day-to-day operations and long-term growth. On the training ground, Connor brings expertise, enthusiasm, and a clear commitment to helping every player find a role within the team.
Coach Justin
U9/U10 Group · U8 Juniors — Assistant Coach
Justin Landrum
Justin coaches across the U9/U10 group and U8 Juniors, working with some of the youngest players in the ATFC family. His sessions emphasize joy, curiosity, and the fundamental building blocks of the game. Justin understands that the habits formed at these ages — on and off the ball — shape players for years to come, and he brings genuine care and patience to every session.
Coach Dustin
U12 Head Coach
Dustin Zedaker
Dustin leads our U12 boys group — a critical developmental age where tactical understanding begins to match the importance of technical skill. He pushes his players to think about the game more deeply, play across the entire field, and make quick decisions under pressure. Dustin's competitive edge and high standards set the stage for a level of play that his players consistently rise to meet.
Coach Trevor
U9/U10 Group — Assistant Coach
Trevor Moyer
Trevor brings serious soccer expertise and a player-first approach to the U9/U10 group. He focuses on creating an environment where young players feel confident to try things, take risks, and express themselves on the ball. His ability to communicate with kids at this age makes training feel like fun — which is exactly the point.
Coach Daniel
U11 Assistant Coach · Fitness Coach
Daniel Hostetter
Daniel wears two hats at ATFC — U11 assistant coach and club Fitness Coach. His background in athletic conditioning gives him a unique lens on player development, ensuring that ATFC's approach to physical preparation is purposeful, age-appropriate, and built to keep players healthy and performing at their best over a long season.
Coach Blake
U9/U10 Group — Assistant Coach
Blake Jackson
Blake is a key part of the U9/U10 coaching group, helping deliver the ATFC philosophy to the club's youngest travel players. He brings steady energy and attention to detail that helps Ashland players at every level. Blake is invested in the long game — promoting habits and attitudes that will serve players well long after they've moved through the program.
Great coaching changes everything.
Every coach on this staff believes in the ATFC mission — and shows up to prove it every single session.
